K-12 Access

Family Days and Story Time

The Gund Gallery welcomes children and families for special weekend programs meant to encourage understanding of exhibition themes, exploration of important works of art and creative hands-on activities connected to exhibitions, collections and visiting artists. Family Days link exhibition and collection works to fun and educational art-making workshops. Story Times, presented in partnership with Kenyon Libraries, are especially designed for Pre-K children and families and often include special musical accompaniment.

School Programs

Regional K-12 teachers and parents are encouraged to take advantage of Gund Gallery resources. Gund staff and interns are eager to assist teachers, parents and community leaders in developing special programs, field trips and classroom visits for public and private schools and home school groups. The Gund Gallery actively uses Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), among other pedagogical methodologies, and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with area teachers and parents in developing special learning opportunities.
