Stories help bring art to life. We invite our youngest art aficionados for special story times thematically linked to the art on view.
Saturday, April 8
Story Time in April centers on themes of family and peace. In response to the exhibition Aftermath: The Fallout of War, we’ll travel to a Palestinian Village with a young girl visiting her grandmother in Sitti’s Secrets by Naomi Shihab Nye.
10:00am, Aftermath Exhibition Space, Gund Gallery.
When Sitti, an American girl, goes to visit her grandmother in her small Middle Eastern village on the other side of the world, they don’t need words to understand each other’s heart – amazon.com courtesy of Aladdin Picture Books
We will also daydream about a peaceful future with an Afghan girl in The Sky of Afghanistan by Ana Eulate.
