Children’s Storytime: Gender Identity and Fluidity

February 1, 2020 11:00am – 12:00pm

Stories help bring art to life. We invite our youngest art aficionados for special storytimes thematically linked to the art on view. This semester’s books are in response to our exhibition Axis Mundo: Queer Networks in Chicano L.A.. Each storytime will address different LBGTQ+ issues. We’ll open early and have a hands-on activity just for kids. The galleries remain open after Storytime so that attendees can walk through the exhibitions at their own pace. We strongly encourage parents to preview the exhibitions this semester before sharing them with small children due to depictions of adult themes. All age groups are welcome, but book selections are geared towards Pre-K to Grade 2.
