Collage is an incredibly versatile medium. For November’s PM Atelier, we’ll look closely at Romare Bearden’s Two Women with Child. A master storyteller, Bearden used discarded bits of paper and photographs to document history and place. Walking in his footsteps, we’ll fashion our own narratives in book form using magazines, newspapers, and patterned paper.
About the PM Atelier Workshop Series:
PM Atelier is a series of hands-on workshops that introduce participants to artistic techniques and processes. Every semester we focus on a different theme. This semester, inspired by our fall exhibit Publishing Against the Grain, we’ll embrace alternative publishing. Each PM Atelier session examines creative journaling and storytelling methods. Registration is required and limited to 15 per session.
