PM Atelier: Collage Techniques

March 1, 2017 6:00pm – 8:30pm

About the Workshop Series:

PM Atelier is a series of hand-on workshops that introduce participants to a range of traditional artist techniques. Color is the focus of our spring offerings! Our first session covers color theory.  The next three investigate color application using collage, watercolor and pastel.  In the final session, we’ll learn how to properly mat one of the works produced during the semester.  Registration is required and limited to 15 per session.

Collage Techniques

Collage, as an artistic technique, took hold in the 20th century with the advent of art movements like Cubism and Dada. In this workshop, participants will use a diverse array of materials including personal and appropriated images. We’ll explore how layering and color juxtaposition allow us to produce surprising stories and unexpected relationships.

Wednesday, March 1, 6:00-8:30 PM

Seats are limited to 15 participants. Registration for this class will begin on February 24th at noon. Register by clicking the link that will appear on this page or by calling 740-427-5969.
