PM Atelier: Watercolor Techniques

March 29, 2017 6:00pm – 8:30pm

About the Workshop Series:

PM Atelier is a series of hand-on workshops that introduce participants to a range of traditional artist techniques. Color is the focus of our spring offerings! Our first session covers color theory.  The next three investigate color application using collage, watercolor and pastel.  In the final session, we’ll learn how to properly mat one of the works produced during the semester.  Registration is required and limited to 15 per session.

Watercolor Techniques

Watercolor is an incredibly fluid and versatile painting medium. With ancient origins, the contemporary process relies on water soluble pigment and absorbent paper. We’ll discover how watercolor’s inherent transparency affects our perception of color. Participants in this workshop will explore several watercolor techniques and produce a small landscape painting.
