Cleveland-based creative tahm lytle has been pursuing printmaking since 2021 and has been a multimedia artist since 2016. tahm identifies as Black and Latine, queer, and an ardent leftist. These intersecting identities inform tahm's approach as a visual artist, musician, comedian, and political educator. Their theory of change centers on uplifting the voices of the historically underrepresented, giving folks the tools needed to creatively contribute to culture, art, and the revolution. They teach free and sliding-scale beginner block printing classes, organize house shows and community events, and work on political education initiatives.

For this workshop, Cleveland-based creative tahm lytle will guide us through the process of block printing. We will use linocut tools to carve images into plates, and then learn to apply ink, and transfer the image onto paper. Wear clothes that you feel comfortable getting dirty, and we will have all of the materials you need.
