Join Marlene O’Bryant-Seabrook (PhD, educator, lecturer and fiber artist) as she discusses the place of quiltmaking in early Gullah culture and explains her contemporary story quilts. Make your own story quilt collage.

This workshop is a part of our Gullah Culture week! Learn about Gulllah arts, crafts, cooking, and more from our honored guests from South Carolina. Gullah Culture Week events begin Sunday, February 2nd and continue through February 5th. Join us as we welcome Alphonso Brown (expert on Gullah culture and arts), Antwon Ford (basket weaver), Marlene O’Bryant-Seabrook (PhD, educator, lecturer and fiber artist), and Charlotte Jenkins (Gullah chef) to the Kenyon campus in a celebration of Gullah culture!
