Claire Beckett ’00 studied anthropology at Kenyon before volunteering with the Peace Corps in Benin, West Africa and earning an MFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design (Boston). Beckett works in Boston, where she is also a visiting professor of photography at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Her photographs examine relationships between America and the Muslim world. Among her recent subjects are American converts to Islam and newly enlisted soldiers in military training.
