Luke DuBois (b. 1975)
Luke DuBois is an American artist, composer, performer and computer programmer. His output often synthesizes these diverse interests, incorporating data analysis and musical algorithms, and applying information theory to American politics and popular culture. He has written a string quartet, the structure of which is based on casualty data from the Iraq War; constructed a census with information culled from dating websites; and conducted the Princeton Laptop Orchestra. DuBois holds a doctorate in music composition from Columbia University and directs the Integrated Digital Media program at NYU.
