Thin
August 31, 2012 – January 6, 2013
Over 50 of Lauren Greenfield’s magnificent large-scale color photographs confront the pervasiveness of eating disorders in modern society through examining the lives of women at the Renfrew Clinic, a treatment center for those suffering from extreme forms of the disease. THIN brings a compassionate eye to this crucial but often overlooked subject. This exhibition is organized by The Women’s Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate. The traveling exhibition of Lauren Greenfield’s THIN was curated by the artist and Trudy Wilner Stack and organized by the Women’s Museum and Greenfield/Evers LLC.
OPENING: FRIDAY, AUGUST 31ST, 5-8PM
