Ori Gersht was born in Israel in 1967 and lives and works in London. His work reflects upon numerous dichotomies — beauty versus violence, personal memories versus national histories, digital technology versus art historical reference. His work has been the feature of exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Tate (London), the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London).
