These moving paintings of train car interiors tell the final part of a story called The Matador’s Nightmare. In this story, a matador is returning home on a subway train after an important victory against one of the strongest bulls in the country. On the ride home, he becomes very tired from his long day and falls asleep. His sleep turns into a nightmare in which he is haunted and chased out of the arena into the depths of the subway by the countless bulls he has killed in the past.
