Laura Letinsky (Canadian b. 1962)

Laura Letinsky’s exhibitions include the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography; Casino Luxembourg; Galerie m Bochum, Germany; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Nederlands Foto Institute; and The Renaissance Society, Chicago. Collections include the Art Institute of Chicago; J.P. Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Hermes Collection, Paris; Musee de Beaux-Arts, Montreal, QUE; The Museum of Fine Art, Houston, TX; and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is represented by Yancey Richardson Gallery, New York.

She is a Professor at the University of Chicago, Department of Visual Arts. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, her B.F.A. is from the University of Manitoba, 1986, and her M.F.A. from Yale University School of Art, 1991.

Grants include the Richard Driehaus Foundation, Illinois Arts Council, Anonymous Was A Woman Foundation, John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, and Canada and Manitoba Arts Council.
