Ingrid Calame was raised in an urban environment in the Bronx, NY and went to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Purchase and her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Art from the California Institute of the Arts. Her work is represented in the permanent collections of several prestigious museums including the Museum of Modern Art New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York; the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art; the Museum of Fine Art, Houston; and the National Art Gallery in Bangkok. She is also collected by corporations such as Progressive Insurance.
