Information about the international arms trade is very hard to come by, especially if you’re interested in understanding more about the illegal side of this trade. No definitive statistics are available from reliable international organizations, like the United Nations, as many nations have refused to release information on the sources of illegal weapons seized within their borders.
Accounts detailing the illegal arms trade from arms dealers themselves, like that of Riccardo Privitera in | blue orchids |, are even harder to find. Only a handful of individuals have ever been captured, let alone convicted.
