The Art Loan Podcast

[+]

Take a listen to this Art Loan mini-podcast series created by our Gund Associates. It gives you an idea of what it’s like to live with an Art Loan work in your living space from students who have already been a part of the program.

Episode 1: Adam Margolis ’22

A dark painting that depicts a group of objects highlighted by a light source in the distance to the right. The group is made of two stacked boxes and three balls. They seem to be similar to children's toys, but their large size, dark colors, and dramatic lighting make them feel ominous.

John Gibson (American, b. 1958), Stacked Crossed Boxes (Purple), 1987. Oil on canvas. 32 1/2 x 39 3/4 inches. Gund Gallery Art Loan Collection.

Episode 2: Alasia Destine-DeFreece ’21

A small, dreamy watercolor painting that depicts upturned clear glass wine goblets against a light green ground.

Joel Janowitz (America, b. 1945) Downturned Glasses, 2005. Watercolor and pencil on paper. 19 1/4 x 23 1/8 inches. Gund Gallery Art Loan Collection.

The Gund Gallery exhibitions and programs are made possible, in part, by the Gund Gallery Board of Directors and the Ohio Arts Council.
