Associate Projects

Each year, the Gund Associates not only lend their efforts to the day-to-day workings of the Gallery but also tackle special projects. These activities vary widely and change every academic year, ranging from exhibitions to artist interviews to publications. Below is a small selection of the many current and past Associate projects.

Alumnae: 50 Years
August 30, 2019–May 31, 2020
Buchwald-Wright Gallery, Gund Gallery

The Gund Gallery’s first-ever Associate-curated alumnae artist series, Alumnae: 50 Years, celebrates five decades of women’s impact on Kenyon College. As these artists return to their alma mater, we reflect on the ways in which the College influences and is influenced by its ever-changing student body.

Knox Cadence: Scenes from Our Community
March 19–October 5, 2018
Pop-Up sites around Knox County

Inspired by the exhibition Urban Cadence: Street Scenes from Lagos and Johannesburg, students from the Gund Gallery’s Associate Program asked residents of Knox County to participate in a digital photo competition. The submitted images capture the essential rhythms of life in Knox County and celebrate the unique perspectives of our friends and neighbors.
